The new Chrysler PT Cruiser is proving very popular and hasn't escaped the Ecotek treatment. Here is an example with a Chrome Combo:

"I've fitted your Ecotek valve plus the Pipercross muffler to my 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.0l. The sound takes a little getting used to, particularly at very low speed in urban traffic jams; a little reminiscent of bearings running dry..., but the benefits are positive. On mixed use I estimate about 9% fuel economy improvement, which means the purchase will pay for itself in about 8 months. In addition, the responsiveness of the engine seems improved, with flat spots removed. Nice one!"

Yours Sincerely - Graeme Stock (many thanks for the feedback Graeme)

The earlier Rover 214 has proved to be a very popular and long lasting motor - Andy sent us some pics of his sli and said:

"I have a 1992 Rover 214sli, it had no cat and is the single-point injection model. Since fitting the Ecotek the car is more lively (has more get up n go). mpg is up from 295-305miles per 45litres, that about half motorway n town, its now doing about 320 to 45 litres, same driving but that only after a fast test on 1 tank of fuel and I'm using the more 'go' the engine has!

Thanks again for a great piece of kit

An update to my mpg this time to 45litres I have got 325miles and that is with a run of 110miles down the M1 at speeds between 75-90mph - it amazes me the more I use it"

Thanks Andy.

There are a number of other Rover fitments on the site - a lot of the engines are interchangeable between models so it's worth checking other models by going back to the fitting page and clicking on the other versions. Click here to go to the list. Remember also that all the pictures can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Sergio from Brazil has already fitted a couple of his Mercedes A Class cars to great effect - see here - and he sent us details of a fitting to a Fiat Tipo 1.6Spi

"Here is another car successfully approved with Ecotek, IMHO.
More torque, up to 9% in fuel economy and wonderful emission figures:
CO @ idle=0.00% and @ 2,500RPM=0.07%
CO+CO2 @ idle=13.73% and @ 2,500RPM=13.60%
HC emissions @ idle=118ppm and @ 2,500RPM=41ppm"

Check out Sergio's web site - he has had quite a lot of interest on his Automotive Forum about the CB-26P - hitherto unknown in Brazil! Comments like:

"Well, I'm surprised with the results. After the installation, I made personally a road test and this little valve made a miracle. The mid RPM engine torque was strongly increased, with a lot of grip.

The sensation for the driver was like a dead body of 100 kg removed from inside the car! Later, we made an emission test with another wonderful surprise. Excellent figures added to that was already great".

Thanks Sergio!

Lee got in touch about his Proton GTi 1.8 and said:

"After reading various reports on the net about this product, both good and bad... I decided the only way I was going to really find out what the hype was about was to try this unit on my car.

My Proton Satria has already been given a Superchip, Free-Flow Exhaust and Blitz Induction Kit... so this product looked like it might just round it all off nicely.

The unit has only been installed for a few hours, but everything seems to be in working order.

I wouldn't know about the emissions or fuel economy yet, but it has had limited effect on performance which I soon noticed (even after the other mods).

The unit also makes a kool farting noise from under ya hood!"

Thanks Lee!
